Fallece este fin de semana el cantante Demis Roussos, quien todavía se mantenía en activo, vendió unos 60 millones de discos en todo el mundo durante su larga carrera, que comenzó en el grupo Aphrodite's Child. Durante las décadas de los setenta y ochenta, y ya en solitario, alcanzó sus años de mayor popuarlidad con éxitos como Goodbye My Love, Goodbye, Forever and Ever, From Souvenirs to Souvenirs, My Only Fascination. En la España de los 80 su tema Triki Triki Triki Mon Amour se convirtió en todo un éxito.  La muerte de Demis Roussos ha provocado un sinfín de reacciones en las redes sociales. Han sido muchos quienes han lamentado su pérdida, como la escritora Maruja Torres o el periodista José María Íñigo. Su muerte fue anunciada por un periodista griego, Nikos Aliaga, que valiéndose de Twitter fue el primero en dar a conocer la triste noticia, Demis Roussos fue uno de los pasajeros del vuelo TWA 847, que fue secuestrado el 14 de junio de 1985. En su momento fue muy conocido el hecho de que los secuestradores celebraron su cumpleaños con él, al quedar impresionados por tener como rehén a una de las celebridades de Oriente y Europa.
